The WGWGA has three individual garden clubs made up of 50+ members. Each group meets monthly in members’ homes for a business meeting followed by a horticultural program or field trip.
We all come together for community projects, association luncheons and dinners. We learn, grow, share and discuss our passion for gardening, flower arranging and much more. As an association, we work together to beautify public areas in our wonderful community of Webster Groves.
We enjoy planting and maintaining the charming "sundial garden" and "butterfly garden" in RuhePark at the corner of Elm and Glendale Roads, award scholarships and grants to schools and individual students for horticultural education and hold an annual plant sale for the community each spring, offering home grown and bedding plants at reasonable prices.
Monthly, from May through September, we scour the streets of Webster Groves, finding fabulous gardens at every turn. After careful consideration, one garden is selected as Garden of the Month. It’s always a difficult decision.
We contribute gardening books and arrangements to our public library and conduct garden therapy programs for various organizations. We have a great diversity in gardening interests and levels of expertise. We come from every Webster neighborhood and beyond. We are within the 20-something to 90-something age group, sharing our interests, learning from each other and forming lasting friendships.
We invite you to join us; you’ll be glad you did!
